2009 Mister International Pageant

Taichung, Taiwan - December 19, 2009 - This evening, during one of the year's most exciting annual events, Mister International Bolivia Bruno Kettels was announced Mister International 2009 from Plaza International Hotel Ballroom in Taichung, Taiwan. He made history for Bolivia by becoming the country’s first ever grand slam international pageant winner, male or female.

Mister International Bolivia Bruno Kettels is also the youngest man to take home the Mister International title. The 20-year-old Chemical Engineering student comes from Santa Cruz, Bolivia and enjoys gym workout. He was encouraged to enter the Mister International Bolivia pageant after accompanying a friend for the casting.

Throughout the two-hour event, contestants from 30 countries around the world competed in three categories: swimwear, evening wear and interview. Mister International 2008 Ngo Tien Doan crowned his successor at the conclusion of the pageant.

Final Results:  

First Runner-up: Mister International Spain Hector Soria.

Second Runner-up: Mister International Lebanon Marcelino Gebrayel.

Rest of Top Five: Mister International France Maxime Thomasset; Mister International Poland Sebastian Strzepka.

Rest of Top Ten: Mister International Belgium Thomas Ladangh; Mister Singapore Nelson Lee; Mister International Slovenia Peter Klinc; Mister International Taiwan Terry Shih; Mister International Venezuela Luis Nuzzo.

Rest of Top Fifteen: Mister International Indonesia Holly Feriston; Mister International Ireland Francis Usanga; Mister International Puerto Rico Heri Quiles; Mister International USA Josh Tolin; Mister International Vietnam Le Xuan Vinh Thuy.

Special Awards:

Mister Congeniality International: Mister International Venezuela Luis Nuzzo.

Mister Photogenic International: Mister International Vietnam Le Xuan Vinh Thuy.

National Costume: Mister International Taiwan Terry Shih.
